I operate a business in St Paul, MN that was burglarized over Thanksgiving weekend. While we waited on the alarm company to procure the sensors for the system, I hired JomsVikings to patrol / sit on the property. The communication from the principle was professional and proactive. Plus having direct communication with the actual security detail was excellent. JomsViking gave us a piece of mind during some heightened uncertainty. If I ever have another need they’ll be my first call.

Executive Protection FAQ
How do you determine what level of protection I need?
We begin with a structured threat assessment that looks at your lifestyle, daily movements, occupation, travel habits, digital exposure, and any recent incidents or concerns. Our team evaluates environmental risks, public visibility, online activity, and potential interpersonal threats. This allows us to categorize your risk level accurately and build a protection plan that aligns with both your safety needs and your lifestyle preferences. We also consider input from corporate security teams, HR, legal counsel, and family members if appropriate. By taking a holistic view, we ensure that your protection is neither excessive nor insufficient.
To understand the value of secure environments for executives, you can review ensuring a secure environment for executives.
What does executive protection cost in Minneapolis?
Costs vary based on several factors:
Threat level
Number of agents
Duration (short-term or long-term)
Travel or overnight requirements
Need for specialized resources such as K9s, armored vehicles, or intelligence support
We do not use generic pricing tables because protection must match actual risk and lifestyle demands. After your initial consultation, we provide a clear, customized estimate.
For deeper insights on what influences EP decisions, see 10 key executive protection considerations.
Are your protection agents military or law enforcement trained?
Yes. Our core team is built from U.S. military veterans, former law enforcement officers, and seasoned private-sector protection specialists. Agents undergo continuous training in:
Close protection fundamentals
Defensive tactics and firearms proficiency
Emergency medical response
Protective and evasive driving
Crisis and threat management
Surveillance detection
Intelligence interpretation
Discreet client movement
To see how this expertise performs in real cases, explore our executive protection case studies.
Do you offer short-term protection for events or travel?
Yes. Jomsvikings regularly provides short-term protection for:
Corporate meetings and retreats
Public appearances
Media events
Court hearings
High-risk travel
Crisis or transition periods
Family or personal events
We can assign agents for a single day, multi-day event, or extended travel itinerary.
What areas do you serve?
Our executive protection coverage includes:
Minneapolis
St. Paul
Edina
Rochester
Duluth
The full Twin Cities metro
We also serve Wisconsin and Illinois, including Milwaukee and Chicago.
For Minneapolis-specific professional development, see Minneapolis metro security training.
Is executive protection the same as hiring a security guard?
No. Executive protection is a specialized discipline focused on prevention, not just response. Unlike a traditional guard who typically remains at a fixed location, an EP agent:
Plans routes and conducts advance checks
Stays with you during movements
Identifies threats early
Protects your privacy
Coordinates travel
Manages venue and environment risks
Interacts with staff, media, and the public carefully
Maintains readiness to respond immediately
This level of sophistication is why EP requires much deeper training and real-world experience.
Can you provide a professional security assessment before recommending protection?
Absolutely. A personalized assessment is the first step to ensuring accuracy and effectiveness. We evaluate:
Home, office, and route vulnerabilities
Digital exposure
Public presence and visibility
Historical incidents
Lifestyle-related risks
Family or business-related concerns
This gives us a precise baseline for your protection plan.
You may also review our complete list of security services.
What is included in a full executive protection plan?
Your protection package may include:
Close protection agents
Protective drivers
Secure transportation routes
Residential or workplace security
Intelligence monitoring
Surveillance detection
Event protection
Emergency medical readiness
Crisis and evacuation planning
Digital footprint reduction
Every plan is built around your life, schedule, industry, and travel patterns.
Do you offer intelligence or surveillance support?
Yes. We provide surveillance detection and proactive intelligence briefings to help clients anticipate threats before they escalate. This includes both digital and physical counter-surveillance capabilities.

Do you provide close protection for corporate executives?

To learn more, see our close protection services.
Do you offer training for companies or individuals?
